FLEECE EXCHANGE
The alpaca fibre industry is a young industry in the United Kingdom. Knowledge of breeding and the basis for establishing the value of their fleece for sale is not widely known. Often mountains of fibre pile up because alpaca owners cannot find a commercial use for their fleece.
The Fleece Exchange will enable smallholders and those aspiring to grow a herd to ascertain a value for the fibre they would like to acquire or sell on a commercial basis.
